Thanks to Dual Channel with analogue output, the sensor is capable of both conventional control architectures and digital interface communication. In other words, the sensors have a 4 - 20 mA analogue output and digital IO-Link interface. This means, for example, that the benefits of IO-Link can be used when commissioning the sensor, which makes parameterisation much easier, but the sensor can still control the process via the 4 - 20 mA analogue output. Therefore, the benefits of IO-Link can be used even if the control system has not yet been converted to IO-Link. Both channels can also be utilised simultaneously. This provides users with maximum flexibility for a wide range of process automation applications.
