Baumer is presenting several intelligent solutions for level measuring in the printing industry at drupa 2012.
One example is the CFDK 25 capacitive sensor for level detection in cramped spaces. This sensor detects both fluids and powders through non-conductive container walls. Compared to detection principles based on contact with materials, this solution provides excellent protection of the sensor, which ensures a long service life and a high degree of process stability. In addition, the material is protected from contamination by the sensor housing. The CFDK 25 features a very flat housing with an overall height of only 6 mm and many different installation options thanks to an innovative mounting frame.
Baumer offers a wide range of capacitive sensors in diverse housing sizes and shapes, for contact or non-contact detection, which provide the perfect solution for every application and every requirement.
What is more, Baumer offers a wide selection of ultrasonic sensors for level measurement also designed for contact less operation. This protects the sensor from wear and tear and aggressive fluids, but also protects the material from contamination. Ultrasonic sensors are very tolerant against dirt such as dust, smoke or steam. They guarantee reliable detection regardless of the color and transparency of the materials to be detected.
The Baumer ultrasonic sensor range features both sensing and measuring versions for level detection as well as continuous level measurement.
