I find a family atmosphere at Baumer and perceive my employer as fair. The atmosphere helps me to feel part of a community and we support each other. Individual needs are taken into account and you are valued. I also have the freedom to develop. These points are important for my personal satisfaction. I've only had positive experiences at Baumer so far.

What does a typical working week look like for you?
A typical week starts every morning with the greeting of all employees. After that, I record any deviations and we inform the team in the shop floor meeting. Depending on the deviation, the solution measures are defined and implemented. The current week will then be planned again in terms of personnel, workload and program fulfillment. I monitor the execution of the work and ensure the availability of the system in order to ensure high-quality products and processes. In addition, every Monday we hold target meetings with the team regarding the quantities, quality and qualifications of the employees. I take a lot of time to have dialogues with my employees to avoid conflicts and to motivate them.
In a typical week, I also plan the coming weeks in terms of vacation, workload and machine availability. I can't neglect the costs, material consumption and reduction of rework. I also monitor compliance with all occupational health aspects for accident prevention.

What do you like most about the Berlin site?
Our Berlin site copes very well with difficult times such as Corona, short-time work or ramp-up without compromising productivity, delivery reliability and quality. Despite all the challenges, attention is paid to the needs of our employees. We work as a team across departments – that makes us strong and secures our location.
