Ambassador and representatives of government visit Baumer
Praise and recognition for an impressive corporate performance
The German Ambassador, H.E. Dr. Axel Berg, and his Minister of the Political Section, Mr. Eberhardt von Schubert, visited the Governing Council of the Thurgau canton at the beginning of May. One of the items on their agenda was a visit to Baumer Electric AG as a representative regional company which has close business ties to Germany and is particularly important for the Thurgau canton. As one of the most prominent employers in Frauenfeld, the company has several branches in Germany, maintains close contacts with German research institutes and universities and is seen as an attractive employer by many German employees.
Dr. Oliver Vietze, CEO and Chairman of the Baumer Group, took pleasure in welcoming the German visitors and representatives of the Thurgau cantonal government. He introduced the nearly 60-year-old family-owned company and outlined its successful development into one of the leading international manufacturers of innovative, high-quality sensors and sensor solutions.
A factory tour enabled the guests to gain an overall picture of the widely diversified portfolio, optimized production processes and modern, friendly working environment at Baumer. Special interest focused on the high-quality products, which reflect the Baumer hallmarks of competence, reliability and precision. The ambassador was visibly impressed by the high vertical range of manufacturing at the production plant, the considerable application know-how and the very special status granted to research and development. The visitors were particularly surprised by the company’s extraordinary innovative strength. The optimized production processes, which ensure high flexibility, process reliability and punctual deliveries, were another focus of major interest. The visitors praised Baumer’s staff-oriented corporate culture and its goals of remaining an innovative market leader and meeting the needs of its customers through close, individual cooperation with them.
