Baumer was honored with the "Swiss Lean Award 2012" by KMU Swiss AG. This prize is the national award for top performance based on the lean management philosophy. The Baumer business system and its longstanding and constant focus on lean corporate processes were acknowledged by this award in a major benchmark competition.

In their statement, the jury stressed, for example, Baumer's flexibility and variant diversity. It was also noted that "lean thinking" is deeply rooted not only in production but also in all divisions at Baumer. This team spirit is a major factor for the international competitiveness of the Baumer Group.
