As one of the world’s leading manufacturers of industrial image processing components, Baumer will be hosting the AIA and EMVA international Vision Standards Meeting in this summer. In the time from the 9 - 14th September, development engineers from more than 20 leading companies in the image processing sector are going to meet in Dresden, Germany, in order to discuss the present industrial image processing standards and their further development including new trends and technologies.

This year, the participants will deal with the finishing of the USB3 Vision™ standard and the further development of the already released GigE Vision® 2.0 standard as well as with the discussions regarding the current GenICam™ standard.

The aim of these branch meetings, which take place twice a year, is to improve and develop the compatibility of the different image processing components, such as cameras, equipment and software, by agreeing on standardized, fixed and commonly developed standards. As a long-standing active member of the AIA and the EMVA, this Vision Standards Meeting is hosted by Baumer for the first time.
