The SmartReflect Baumer continues to attract attention in the automation industry. The magazine MM machinery market has awarded the light barrier without a reflector with the Innovation Award "MM Award 2012" in the category of sensors. The award was presented by Ken Fouhy, Publisher of the magazine to Christian Adolph, Head of Group Marketing at Baumer, at the trade fair AUTOMATICA in Munich.

The SmartReflect caused not only a"wow effect" among the jury members, but also convinced the experts with its economic benefits. Because the sensor solution needs no reflector, it also eliminates the costs otherwise required for installation, commissioning, alignment and cleaning of the reflector. This means a saving of around 50% with a significant reduction in operating costs.
