Baumer cameras in the TX and HX series with extended NIR detection are extremely well suited to the inspection of crystalline silicon cells, as are used for example in the solar panel industry. The electrolumincescence process uses the NIR radiation from the cells to identify weak spots and defects in the crystalline structure and so ensures the product's quality. Thanks to the increased NIR sensitivity of our cameras, high-quality pictures can be taken even at the lowest levels of radiation.
