Tecnologia

Sensore a semiconduttore di silicio, a filo frontale (misurazione piezoresistiva della pressione)
Nei materiali semiconduttori la variazione della resistenza specifica e quindi del segnale è data dalla mobilità variabile degli elettroni nella struttura cristallina. Questa mobilità subisce l’influsso della sollecitazione meccanica. Una membrana di acciaio inox (incapsulamento) separa il sensibile chip di silicio dal fluido di processo. Per la trasmissione interna di pressione, come fluido di trasmissione si utilizza olio di paraffina o di silicone in funzione della rispettiva applicazione.
I trasmettitori con tecnologia piezoresistiva al silicio si rivelano eccellenti per l’alta precisione della misurazione e la stabilità a lungo termine. Grazie al loro alloggiamento interamente saldato assicurano una lunga durata e possono essere utilizzati anche in zone a rischio di esplosione (ATEX).
Sono adatti persino per campi di misura ridotti, in particolare per misurazioni di livello con metodo idrostatico a partire da un’altezza di 0,5 m.
