The Smart Cameras of the AX series pave new ways in intelligent image processing. Apparently, the Jury of the inspect award 2022 by the publisher Wiley-VCH is of the same opinion. The board of experts of the industry publisher (“inspect”) has nominated the Baumer AX series for the inspect award in the “Vision” category. In this category, a total of ten product innovations made it to the nominees. Further, ten more products made it to be among the finalists of the most innovative products in the category “Automation + Control”.

Most probably, the Jury decided for favor the Baumer Smart Cameras thanks to their numerous user benefits. The AX Smart Cameras by Baumer allow free programming and combine robust industry quality, NVIDIA Jetson AI modules and Sony CMOS sensors into a freely programmable image processing platform for vision-at-the-edge and AI applications. Based on Linux, the GenICam compatible all-in-one cameras support any programming language and allow the use of different image processing libraries and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). This way, any additional PC for image processing is superfluous. Users hence get a quick and easy solution about AI and image processing in industrial environments.

Now it’s up to users to vote for the best machine vision innovation in 2022. The three nominees with the most votes in each category will be decorated with the inspect award 2022 at VISION held in Stuttgart this November.
