The new Baumer High-Tech Center at Lake Constance in the German city of Stockach takes shape and has reached the next milestone. In an official ceremony, Baumer celebrated the completed shell of the administration building as well as the production and logistics hall, each being three storeys high. The key persons such as building contractor Dr. Oliver Vietze, the Mayor of the City of Stockach, the site manager and representatives from business and politics gave brief speeches paying tribute to the economic importance of the project and the achievements made by the architect and craftsmen. Baumer employees and neighbor companies were given insight in a guided tour round the impressive building. There is every indication that the High-Tech Center will be finalized as planned in autumn 2017.

This approximately 30-million euro investment is a token of the importance Baumer attaches to the long-term and sustainable Group development for even more innovation and higher flexibility in immediate reactions to market requirements. One of the focus points of the new High-tech Center is sustainability and state-of-the-art infrastructure with a close network of man and machine (IIoT, Industry 4.0).
