In process automation, safety and reliability are of critical importance. To ensure this requires precise and robust sensors and measuring instruments that guarantee perfect measurement, control, monitoring, or fault analysis.
Baumer is expanding its 10 GigE cameras of the LX series with four new models that perfectly support applications with very high resolution and image quality demands for the reliable detection of even the minutest details and deviations. At the same time, they have a very high frame rate for increased throughput.
The renowned research institute NCCR DFAB is part of the ETH Zurich and elaborates on concrete processing solutions using 3D printing robots. In close cooperation with the sensor manufacturer Baumer they implemented a reliable solution for pressure monitoring in robot-supported 3D printing. The precise PBMN Flush pressure sensor eases operation of the printing robot but also ensures 3D printing quality and precise dosing in the medium flow.
Two product families, many possible solutions: The high-performance ultrasonic sensors U300 and U500/ UR18 from Baumer offer a multitude of integrated functions and adjustment options. These allow the sensor to be optimally adjusted to the application. A new double sheet detection function has now been implemented in the through beam sensor of these series.
The new LXT cameras with integrated JPEG image compression allow image capture with very high resolution and speed via the widely available and easy-to-use GigE interface. This means, for example, that 500 frames/s with full HD or more than 1500 frames/s with SVGA can be used without any time limitations.
Compact machine designs with limited space, detection of very small objects, narrow gaps, or precise triggering - and at fast clock rates. These are just some of the application areas for the new optical O200 miniature sensors with focused laser light beam. The new laser variants now enable even higher precision in the detection of very small position differences, extremely narrow gaps, as well as small parts such as single wires or very fine threads with a diameter of only 0.05 mm.
Volumetric flow, flow velocity, and temperature measurement – three of the most important variables for efficient process control combined in a single sensor, the electromagnetic flow meter. Baumer is introducing two new product series at once – the compact PF55S for industrial applications and the PF75H/S series.
