CX models with second-generation Sony Pregius global shutter sensors enable exposure times from 1 µs to 60 s. This makes these cameras ideal for applications with high light intensity such as laser welding, or for high-speed applications, as in PCB pick and place to minimize blur.

The CX series polarization cameras use the polarization properties of light and capture the complete linear polarization state of surfaces. Non-visible material properties can be evaluated, e.g. in order to detect residual stress in glass or defects in carbon fiber fabrics (CFRP).
