Protection classes

1) Protection from ingress of dust and complete protection against electric shock.

2) Protection from water jets from any direction.

IP 67 includes the protection from ingress of dust, as well as the complete protection against electric shock. In addition this class offers protection against water when the housing is immersed in water under defined pressure and time conditions.

Water must not enter in a quantity that will produce harmful effects if the housing is continuously immersed in water under the conditions specified between the manufacturer and the user. The conditions must however be more difficult than in IP 67.

O tempo de exposição é de 30 segundos por posição. Uma vez que este procedimento de teste difere significativamente de outros testes IP, os dispositivos com o selo de teste IP 69K não têm automaticamente classe de proteção IP 67 ou IP 68. Somente dispositivos com classe de proteção IP 67 têm também as classes de proteção inferiores.
