Kids get a glimpse of the working world at Baumer
Sascha Omec
Matilda learned from her father Sascha Ozmec what a production group leader does at Baumer.

Once again, 40 children and teenagers had the opportunity to experience the working environment at Baumer. As in previous years, Baumer opened its doors at Frauenfeld headquarters on National Future Day for students, providing interesting insights into the daily work at a high-tech company. Girls and boys from the 5th to 7th grade had the chance to accompany their mothers or fathers to the workplace and experience the professional environment firsthand. They even had the opportunity to actively participate; a particularly exciting and rewarding experience for them was the chance, under expert guidance, to solder an LED ruler in the training workshop.

The value of Future Day became evident right from the beginning: the majority of the children were not quite sure about what their mothers or fathers did at Baumer. This changed quickly throughout the day.

The promotion and training of young talents are central elements for Baumer in the long-term development of future professionals and leaders. Within the context of the Baumer training system, participation in Future Day is seen as an essential component to cultivate future talents from within.
