Baumer is an international company with worldwide sales companies and an incredible variety of products. In order to coordinate this, we work in three different core teams in Corporate Marketing at the Frauenfeld and Stockach locations. Product marketing takes care of the marketing of our products and innovations. The design team takes care of the creative implementation and ensures that the Baumer brand appears consistent across all media. Online Marketing is responsible for Baumer's presence on all online channels, so that potential and existing customers are informed about our products and innovations. The marketing team also includes two special functions – corporate communications and trade fair planning.
In the various countries and sales companies – USA, Brazil or Italy, for example – to name just a few, we have local marketing managers. We are in close contact with them on the part of Corporate Marketing. Together with their local sales colleagues, they serve customers in their region, taking into account the local needs and special features of their specific markets.

How did you get into the Online Marketing Team at Baumer?
I already knew Baumer from my student days, when I worked here as a working student. I had my first contact with online marketing there and got to know the diversity of this area, which impressed me. After completing my studies, a position in online marketing was open that I applied for – and it worked out.

What does a standard week look like for you and your team?
The activities in the online marketing team are very diverse and our week is designed accordingly. Each of us has our own focus topics that we take care of and that each of us drives forward on a weekly basis. This includes, for example, tasks in the areas of SEO, paid ads, website optimization or the implementation of webinars. Email marketing and social media marketing are also important areas. Here, I centrally ensure that, for example, the planned Baumer mailings and social media posts find their way to our customers around the globe on a daily basis. To this end, I work closely with the product marketing team or with the marketing managers at our international sales units.

What are your next goals?
Basically, our goal is to continuously develop online marketing in order to continue to draw the attention of existing and potential customers to Baumer and Baumer products. Especially in online marketing, technologies and tools are developing rapidly. This means that it is particularly important for us to stay on the ball and to find and implement the optimal solutions for Baumer.
