Detection in small openings
Ultrasonic sensors with a special sonic nozzle enable detection of objects and liquids in very small container openings, e.g. the filling of microtiter plates or test tubes.
Ultrasonic sensors detect objects regardless of their material, color or surface. Synchronization-or multiplex mode also enables reliable detection of large objects, gaps or even semi-transparent objects.
Object detection in demanding environments
Thanks to the rugged housing design and robust transducers, the ultrasonic sensors are also suitable for use in harsh conditions (e. e. washdown environment).
Ultrasonic sensors are based on the measured propagation time of the ultrasonic signal. They emit high-frequency sound waves which reflect on an object. The objects to be detected may be solid, liquid, granular or in powder form. Ultrasonic sensors reliably detect transparent and other demanding objects where optical technologies fail.
Transmitter and receiver are integrated in one housing. The sensor switches as soon as the sonic signal is reflected back by an object within the adjusted sensing range (background suppression principle).
